Welcome to Lori Anderson's
Memories and Thanks Blog Hop.
For all the details about this hop please visit
Lori's Blog.
Although inspired by Marianna and
Lori's friendship, as well as Marianna's love
of the color red, birds and other natural things.
This bracelet takes on it's own special meaning
for me when I think of...
Once upon a time there was a
Mom who once had 3 little "birdies".
One day Mom-ma birdie and
her two little birdies got sick.
Her first little birdie didn't make it. He was just 3.
Her other birdie was just 18 months and survived.
But none the less felt the loss of her brother.
The third little birdie came along a year later.
Now only the two birdies remain.
Those birdies...you guessed it...
Me and my little brother.
Neither of us are so little any more.
Regardless, nothing can change the fact that
Once upon a time,
our mother gave life to 3 little "birdies"
which she held, cared for and nurtured.
Jeffery, Terri, and Steven.
I like that there was a little heart
on this connector.
So I chose to echo that with a heart shaped toggle clasp.
I added a little patina to the connector using Gilders paste
and Vintaj verdigris paint.
So when I look at this bracelet
I will think of the loves I have lost
and the loves that remain.
I'm sad that I did not have the chance to meet Marianna
through the blog world or even in the real world.
It seems we may have had similar tastes.
Here is a necklace I made for myself sometime ago.
Which fit the category of bird and nest.
But I am Thankful that I was able to meet Lori.
She is truly one of a kind!
Even though my Mom is a bead-er,
I really don't think I would be on this bead path
I'm on...If it wasn't for meeting Lori
and participating in her bead soups.
Thanks so much for visiting.
