Pretty Palettes ~ April Challenge

What a gorgeous image for this months inspiration.
Such a fabulous color palate too!
So Soothing. Must be the Lavender effect.
Halo Craft items used:
 59530 -  Purple Glass AB - 4mm round
32060 -  Amethyst flower Metal slide
with the addition of some
metallic blue Czech flower spacers, olive pearls
I ended up not using the AB green beads
pictured here.
I used the left over clear AB seed beads on the under side to help
protect the stretch cord that is normally exposed.
Not really big on stretch bracelets.
But I do get how easy these are to get on and off.
Thanks for another terrific challenge.

Operation Tackle that Bead Stash ~ April Challenge

For this months tackle that bead stash challenge
 we were asked to use
Orange, Pink, Blue, Purple and  Gold beads.
With the additional option of using fringe.
I went with a fringe tassel,
I decided to try adding some dangle-ly
bits to the tassel bead cap for added interest.
Adds a touch more of the orange too.
What it looks like on.

Earrings Everyday - April Challenge.

Architectural wonders served as this months inspiration.
I just want to put it out there,
I feel like I cheated this month using
pre-made items.
Having said that I really like the lantern chain.
I think that is what they call it.
Yep that's what they call it just checked today  5/7/15
It mimics the structural detail really well.
I so wanted to do the Herringbone wire wrap.
So glad Erin did a pair that way.
I was  inspired to do the same
I just didn't make the time to do it.
So I used these pre-made bead cages.
Instead.
My time has been used up setting up for a
Jewelry open house that I am having
 Today. Tomorrow and Sunday.

Thanks for another terrific Challenge.

UPDATE -  4/19/15

gold tone earrings at the top sold.

Art Bead Scene - March Challenge

This self portrait with thorn necklace
and humming bird painted by  Frida  Kahlo in 1940
served as this month inspiration.
A choker style necklace seemed fitting.
I decided to use an Earthenwood Studios pendant
from my stash. It has the right color of greens,
Added a few carnelian, green ceramic rondelles
and light gray Czech beads.
Twig branch links serve nicely to represent
 the thorns around her neck.
I put a Swaroski red crystal under the
Humming bird to picture the tiny drops of blood.
Even though Frida was in so much pain
emotionally as well as physically
as depicted here in her self portrait.
I also see a hope, a brightness to the lush background.
Where she may not of owned a pair of tweezers?
She did care enough to do her hair
and put on lipstick.
So when I wear this I with think of others struggles seen and unseen
and my own internal pain along with my hope.

A time when all pain will be done away with.
