Thank You Lori and Rick and all the ladies that helped pull
off another Amazing Bead soup Blog Party!
So let's get to it....
off another Amazing Bead soup Blog Party!
So let's get to it....
This is the Amazing soup I received form Tari Kahrs.
I got to cooking with it right away.
Here I used the focal and Gaea Beads Tari sent me.
I added
Glass Pearls, a few Brass and Jade beads, as well as
Swarovski Pearls
and some Unicorn lampwork beads.
Bronze/olive metallic leather cord.
Here I use the toggle, links, and ceramic owl.
Added silk ribbon, ceramic flower beads, antique brass chain,
and some yellow turquoise beads.
So the commitment portion is done.
Focal used...check....Clasp used check check.
But I think that our partners are curious to see what you will do
with the other components of the soup they send...
so I made more...
For this one I used one of the PC Flowers.
Added a Tagua nut, Round Agate beads
and Pearl nuggets.
and Pearl nuggets.
Wove some faux suede in the
antique brass chain made a dangle and
added a Vintaj round hammered link,
bead bar for the toggle.
bead bar for the toggle.
and a word charm that says "Believe".
I almost lost it when I wore it.
I'm thinking of doing some wire wrapping on
the round link to make the hole a little smaller.
But I don't want to junk it up.
Any suggestions to help prevent the bar from slipping out?
[ Update June 2014. THe wire wrapping I did still didn't work.
So I changed out the round portion of the
toggle and kept the bar. Problem solved. ]

I used mixed metals on this one, antique copper and antique brass.
Experimented with some basic wire wrapping techniques.
Used one of the cool rectangle links and the the gorgeous
lampwork beads,Tari sent me.
Added some Unicorn tear drops and
a Tierra cast Hammered heart toggle.
BONUS
This is a Bonus item I made from the Wool Roving
that Tari used as packing material
for the bead soup she sent me.
Normally used for felting,
which I have not gotten into. (yet)
I made my first handmade felted ball beads.
Which did not require me to get any of the felting tools.
Embellished them and assembled this bracelet.
I hope Tari likes this Bonus bracelet
because I sent it to her as a surprise!
I really liked that I tried
some "new to me" techniques in this Bead Soup.
I just have a few bits left and will be sure to
make something with those as well.
Thank You again Tari
for this Awesome bead soup!
I hope I did it justice.

oh my gosh! you've been busy! love all your beautiful creations, but the 1st one....WOW!!!
You sure were busy! Love all your pieces - interesting how each has a slightly different feel from the others.
As for the bracelet: I would add some 'safety' chain; long enough to let the hand slip though, and short enough to not allow the bracelet fall off your hand.
Lovely designs, great beads and what a darling surprise! love them all, but my favorite is the mixed metal bracelet. Just beautiful!
I love your first piece. It is simply gorgeous and you could have stopped there but instead you created so many beautiful pieces it boggles the mind. Wonderful job.
Beautiful pieces. I love the warm earthy tones. Beautiful unusual bonus bracelet with the beads from the wool roving.
Beautiful! Love the lampwork bead bracelet!

Wow! You made so many beautiful things. I love those soft blue tones, and man, that necklace. I love all the little pearls and clusters of beads. Great job!
Wow, fantastic! How very sweet that you made that felted bracelet as a gift for your partner. It looks like a joy to wear. I love the rings of pearl in the first necklace, such a great detail. The bracelets are all so beautifully detailed too.
The necklace is beautiful and I love the variety in your bracelets. Fascinating to read about trying new techniques for the first time. Brave and clever!
Wow, couldn't pick which one I liked best, but I think the necklace is fabulous! I would love to learn how to stack like that and make it look so good!

Each and every design you created with your soup, and your packing material (!), is fabulous.
Wow - you got some really wonderful soup to play with. Lots of opportunities for creativity and your pieces are all wonderful! I think my favorite is the bracelet with the rectangular floral link and the lampwork beads. It's just yummy!
Love everything that you made, but my favorite is the bonus bracelet you made. I think you have a new talent with those felted beads. Kudos for a well served soup!

Well done, all your pieces are fab.
Oh wonderful pieces! I love how you've layered' things with multiple strands and different materials.
What an awesome soup. I love the second piece with the silk run through it. But they're all great. The colors in the bracelet with the metal bracelet bar/connector are great. And you did a great job using the felting she sent you as packing. Nice that you were able to try some new techniques.
Hi Terri, Great job using your soup. The necklace is aqua so I am attracted to it. I also like the bracelet with the lampworked beads and copper coiled wire, but my favorite is the surprise bracelet. Kudos to you for trying new techniques.
Gorgeous designs! My favourite is the mixed metal bracelet with the heart clasp.
What a statement necklace! I also love all of your bracelets. Beautiful Soup!
Wow, amazing pieces!! Love what you've made with your soup!! Beautiful work!

How lovely! I like everything you've made with your Bead Soup... and how inspiring that you pushed yourself to try new things. I think you did a fantastic job! :D
HOLY COW! I truly love that necklace -- I would wear it, and often! Absolutely love it. And all the work is wonderful and well-thought out.

Great! What a lovely stuff and you did a great job! I love the wire work at the first bracelet most! Great! Hugs, Doris
Glad I visited. Your work is beautiful! You just got a new follower.
Thanks Ladies and thanks for those of you who have decided to follow my blog. I share all sorts of things that I do here.
Great Job!!!! I love it all. I have to pull out my silk ribbon and start using it. This Soup hop is so inspiring!!!
What a great idea for your bonus piece and to keep track of your hopping on your blog post.
Oh. My. Gosh. I love every one of the pieces you made with your soup. And you made those embellished felted beads with the packaging! This was all so fun to see! You could wrap a little WoolyWire on the round of the toggle to make it a bit smaller so it won't fall off, and it will add a pretty bit of color and texture to boot!
Terri, all of the pieces you created with your soup are just gorgeous, and I adore all of the blue pieces...but my fave has gotta be that mixed metals bracelet. Love the mixture and the colors you combined!
p.s. Re: that pesky round part of the toggle - I'm sorry to say, but I *do* think your best bet is to slap some wire around it - maybe do a sloppy wrap on one section, but include a small bead or two, or a coordinating metal charm? Hope this helps!
Wow! You have made so stunning pieces with your soup, they are all lovely but the last two bracelets really speak to me. I love how you used the wool roving to make a really unusual bracelet, well done!
Jackie
Absolutely love it all, they are all a favorite, one for every mood... lol! Seriously, they are wondetful. So much beauty from one soup in the hands of an artist. You should be pleased with it all.
Beautiful pieces and color combinations! I wonder if you'd share how you made the piece with the pearls and snail ceramic piece? I love the look and would love to try it! I'd say my other fav is the blue bracelet with the felted beads - VERY beautiful color!

Those are all beautiful pieces! It's so great that you used so much of your soup :-) I especially love that mixed-metal bracelet.
Your soup is luscious! The results of your hard work is gorgeous! Job well done!!
Your first necklace has a wonderful beachy feel to it. Great for the upcoming summer. Also love your bonus bracelet. What a great idea!
Love your bead soup and esp. what you created with it. Great job!
These designs are so very very much my cup of tea!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!! Great Job!!! Have a Blessed Day!!!
I love all of your pieces....gorgeous! I especially like that you used the wool roving packing....ingenuous.
You are so dedicated in your plan to visit all the blogs. I'm impressed and in awe. Now that bracelet with the big flower and the tagua nut...wow. What a statement. My total favorite.
I love all your pieces. The coloures and designs are gorgeous but my favourite is the bracelet with wire work and chainmaille. Sadly I have no idea how you can prevent it from slipping out.
Yes, the soup you received was really yummy and your designs did not disappoint. I really love all the pieces you created. They are each special and quite lovely!
Love them all, but the one with the flower and the Tagua nut, just perfect!! WOW, what a great job!! ~KM
You created some super pieces, with your gorgeous soup!
Love your first necklace and bracelet! Really gorgeous!
Stunning pieces in great, great colours! You did that amazing soup great justice! Is that correct English? I hope so (-: The red/green flower bracelet is my favourite...
I am impressed with your jewelry - wouldn't even know some techniques were new to you :) My favorite - the second bracelet - love the colors and wirework. And the recycled package bracelet is so beautiful and such a cool idea! I like how you say "soup-er" :))
This was a great soup and I love all the pieces you made! But the first necklace is my favourite, it is absolutely gorgeous.
Hi there! What lovely designs, you certainly did that soup justice. Great stuff :-)
I don't make a lot of bracelets but your beautiful creations have inspired me to. Thanks for the inspiration! All lovely pieces.
You made quite a lot of beautiful pieces with this soup! I love the soothing color palette of that earthy brown and gray sky blue. As for the clasp slipping out, I would say wire wrapping it would be a great way to add texture to it and shrink the hole. Or what about a hook clasp instead? Thank you for sharing your talents with the world! Enjoy the day! Erin
Thank You all so much for the positive reinforcement! It does my creative soul good.
Terri, I ahve been hopping at a snails pace but I hope to get to the end soon!! Glad i am not alone! Your soup was phenomena but what you did with it is truly inspired!! I love your experiments which don't look like the work of a beginner, certainly NOT!! I love how you have put some many different things together like the fibers in the green bracelet and the tagua nut in the next piece. I will be following your blog!! Great to meet you!!
Very pretty! I especially like the piece with the silk ribbon and the one with the rectangular link!
Wow!! I love your Bohemian style bracelets...I would love to wear any of them. I 'm also impressed that you used the packing material to make a gorgeous bracelet. I'm a new follower of your blog shop. Please consider following my blog.
