Welcome to Lori Anderson's
Bead Soup Blog party ~ Hoarders Edition.
My partner Carrie Stalcup sent me
this lovely carved mermaid
out of peach Aventurine.
She had been hoarding it for 15 years.
Wow!
Her true age is unknown.
I say, "Keep'em guessing."
Designing how I wanted to feature the focal
was great fun.
In the end I went with a wire wrapped bail
and carried
the copper wire wrapping
throughout the necklace.
Carrie also sent a lovely
array of pearls to kept her company
on her journey to me.
Alas they parted and went their separate ways.
But don't be sad,
she made new friends with my
Czech glass beads, Greek copper patina
beads and Greek fish hook link.
My peach jade beads seemed
to play well with others and
nicely complimented the focal.
As did the Amazonite beads
which reminded me of water.
I'm hoping her new friends make
her happy.
Then this bracelet and earrings
appeared with some of the pearls
appeared with some of the pearls
Carrie sent.

One more piece got assembled today, March 21st.
Hand knotted with
Irish waxed linen thread.
White Shell items were also a gift from
my Mom's friend in Florida, Kay.
Carrie, can you see this as a fun
Summer piece
with a classic white shirt or tank top?

Love, love what you did with the mermaid pendant - the amazonite and copper are perfect with it!
Oh, I love everything!! She looks so at home in your necklace :) You made such lovely pieces out of everything & yes I do think the yellow pearl necklace is a fun Summer piece! Thank you so much for being my partner.
Very beautiful your mermaid necklace - just perfect!
There's a real serenity to your work - beautiful!
Your mermaid should be happy with her new home. It's gorgeous!
All creations are so feminine, delicate and elegant! My fav is the first necklace! Good job!
You did a beautiful job. Thanks for sharing so much inspiration with us.
Gorgeous mermaid necklace! I love the softness and the flow of the piece. Beautiful!
Hi Terri, You did a good job using your swap beads. The mermaid necklace is lovely as are the bracelet and earrings. The knotted pearl necklace would indeed look great on a tank top-so summery.
The mermaid necklace is really pretty. And I love the "beachy" feel of the bracelet and earring set. Lovely summer items!
Beautiful jewelry designs. You used your hoarded beads to perfection.
Wow! I love the focal and your design!
The mermaid bead is beautiful, but I would find it challenging. You did a great job with it. Your other pieces are nice too.
Beautiful jewelry, really love the bracelet and earrings.

The copper and other things you chose to go with the mermaid are perfect. Beautiful necklace. The set with the pearls is also lovely. The last piece is a beautiful statement necklace. Definitely perfect for summer!
Wow! These are all so nice. I love what you did with the beaded chain on the mermaid necklace. The colors are perfect together!
Sometimes it is daunting to have something so beautiful to work with. That being said...YOU HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK!!! That is a beautiful necklace and Bracelet! Oh yeah and the earrings!! LOL Be Blessed!
Such soft, beautiful colors - your work is just lovely!
Love the colors! Beautiful!
Everything you created looks beautiful. I'm partial to the bracelet as it would go with so many things.
Hoarded for 15 years! It's such a lovely gift that she sent that to you! It is such a large focal that I imagine it may have been hard to determine exactly what to do with it, but you did a beautiful job! I especially love the bail you created for the mermaid.

Lovely designs. Especially loved the last one with the shell beads. Beautiful!
Your creativity is splendid! All your pieces have a quite peace about them, I think it must be the colors you choose. Beautiful.
A truly beautiful piece! The colors are so calming!
Love it, love it, love it.
The mermaid necklace, the bracelet and the earrings, and the way you told us about the mermaid's journey.
That mermaid is an amazing piece... and I love what you did with it. Great job.
All of your pieces make me long for a warm climate and a beach. Each piece is lovely, and what you built around the mermaid focal is faultless. Your last necklace is quite graceful, easy to dress up or down. Have fun wearing them.
That mermaid pendant is indeed a treasure! I think I would have hoarded it to, not knowing what to do with it. Your solution is beautiful. I like the airiness the wirework provides, making the whole thing feel light and not overdone. It's lovely.
"Keep them guessing", I like that!
I LOVE the colorway you used for your mermaid necklace, and the last necklace is a true statement piece. Great job!
Thanks for coming to the party!
What a great soup, I love that mermaid bead and you have made such a beautiful necklace, I really like the soft greens in your bracelet and that shell necklace is stunning!
