A Marie Inspired

Cache for me. This lovely handmade silk cache arrived today from Rella Gauthier. Along with a bunch of other embellishment goodies. It's so wonderfully made! I originally met Rella during another challenge and even though our last names are the same we are not related. But we decided we are sisters in Art. She is now running the Marie Antoinette Mail Art group. And I must say is doing a fantastic job. Not to mention the changes going on with Ning. Rella, I can't thank you enough for all the detailed work you put into creating this for me as well as all the bonus items you sent along with it. I just love it.

Here are a few things I've been working on for some of the groups swaps that are coming up:

My Royal Package Arrived

Yesterday. I have been anxiously awaiting it's arrival since the first week or so in April. In it was a stamp set Venaissance by Llewelyn - Bowen. So elegant. I ordered this one from an online store called Bels Crafts. What a terrific online company. You can visit them at http://www.belscrafts.co.uk/ and see all that they carry. Since I had not purchased from them before or from the UK I wasn't sure how long it would take to get here. After several weeks had passed I sent Annabel at Bels Crafts an e-mail to get an update. She mentioned it usually takes about 2 weeks. I was wondering if the Volcano had anything to do with it being delayed and She mentioned that the mail was being routed to Spain. So I let a few more weeks go by. Still nothing. Last Friday would have been about a month. Then I waited just a few more days. Sad to say I gave up and requested a refund a few days ago. Oh if I had only waited just a few more days. I wrote her immediately yesterday to tell her not to give me a refund. I have to say the customer service and communication was really great. And I definately will do business with her again.

Gothic Arch Challenge ~ Mona Lisa

Mona Lisa forever depicted in this pose with that semi smile. Leaving many to wonder.  I think if I were her I would want to escape from the 4 walls of the painting. To fly and be free. So this is what I did for the challenge. To see what other artists came up with for this challenge click here.
