I Can't Believe it! I Won!

This Beautiful Print from Cindy
From the One World One Heart Event
Wow! What a nice surprise!
This is the scripture that immediately came to mind
 when I saw this print.
Proverbs 4:23 More than all else that is to be guarded,
safeguard your heart, for out of it are the sources of life.
One of my favorite scriptures....among many.
She has hand written around the lady
"Watch over your heart with diligence...
for from it flow the springs of life...
I just love it!!!
Cindy , Thank You so Much!!

Kraftin' Kimmies Card Challenge #66

Just got some of the new Kraftin Kimmie's stamps.
This one is Abigail Apple.
Thought I would go ahead with the latest
and that
I would challenge myself to also use some paper
that was gifted to me as a hostess gift.
I have no idea who makes it.
I have her holding the sentiment that says
You're as Sweet as ...
Inside it will say
... apple pie!
Is there more that can be done to this card?
Of course.
The question I ask myself is...
Will I?

Party Gifts

Thanks to my friend Katherine.
She's been rounding up some interested ladies.
So I had an "How to make earrings 101 class"
at my house this past Saturday.
Where I taught the ladies to make simple earrings
 like the one pictured here.
In addition to some tasty snacks and refreshments...
I made these little heart boxes using one
of the Sizzix dies I have.
Basic Grey papers for the hearts.
Painted chipboard for the key.
Accented it with a little flower and ribbons.
Super easy. Super sweet!
I stashed some crystal beads and pearls in them.
As a little thank you for coming.

I justed received another Award from Anu...who has become like a son to me.
There are four duties to perform you after you have received this award.
1. Thank and link back to the person who awarded you this award .
Thank You Me Ho for the award! Please check out his blog when you have a moment. I think you will be very pleased with his style of writing whether it is his poems, to his short stories, to his social comments. My personal favorite is his poetry.

2. Share 7 things about yourself:
  • I'd like to think I'm a good listener when others need someone to listen what is on their heart.
  • I like to start my day with a warm cup of Joe...(coffee) and check my e-mails.
  • I like to end each day with a kiss from my DH, Chip and a goodnight prayer to God.
  • I dislike grocery shopping with an extreme intensity.
  • I don't mind seeing fish in a fish tank but don't like to see birds in bird's in cages...go figure.
  • I like to see things in fluffy clouds. Flying pigs, dragons, faces, etc.
  • I have donated my hair to places where they make wigs for those who have lost their hair for various reasons. I'm getting ready to do it again.
3. Award 15 RECENTLY discovered great bloggers:

4. Contact these bloggers and tell them about the award!
I have selected these blogs from my followers list.
Some are new to me from the One World One Heart Event
others are new to me through Lori Anderson's Bead Soup swap
and others from some of the Ning sites I belong to.
So here's the thing....a lot of blogs are Award free.
And we want to blog with out obligation.
I'm thinking I will leave it up to you whether
or not you would like to receive this award and follow
the 4 guidelines that go along with it.

Assorted Projects

More fun projects with Deb.
On out last creative Friday Deb brought over these clear
Cupcake boxes that she has a die cut for.
My top and insert piece she cut out of green card stock.
Here is what I ended up doing to decorate the box.

Embossed the paper with a Cuttlebug folder
Recollection bling colored with alcohol inks.
Prima flowers and Irene's Gardina flowers.
Sequin trim and MS punches.

She also brought me one of the Michale's wood boxes
(that we find in the dollar section) to alter.
I worked on that today..I was trying to clean up
for a class on Saturday..oh well.
Clean up will now be tomorrow.
 Front
 Back

We also experimented with some different types of
fabrics to make more fabric flowers.
We named some potato chip flowers.
Too much to explain.
Anyway we moved onto the more typical lollipop style.
Deb seemed happy playing with the fire.
I got around to playing with the fire too and did
 a couple that night.
Then Monday I spent the afternoon making some more.
I call these my Steampunk flowers.
They really go well with the
Graphic 45 Steampunk Deputante papers.
(e-mail me if you are interested in a couple of these)
I have used one of them to decorate the above box.

And I've been making stick pins and charms and
I finished my bead soup project which
I will reveal on the 26th of this month.
