Altered Mermaid

For Therese. So this is how Therese's mermaid looks now. She was all cream before. I should of taken a picture of it before I spray painted it all black. And I probably should of taken a picture of that as well.
Therese wanted this mermaid figurine painted to coordinate better with a framed print she has of a sea turtle on her boat. So I hope she likes how she has turned out. We've been playing phone tag for about a week now. I know she has been busy with getting the boat ready for the summer with her husband, continuing therapy on her arm and taking care of her Mom.
So either we'll see each other first or she'll see this blog first.

Hi Terri~ She's beautiful!!! What a perfect patina, and Debra is right, she does look like she's been underwater for a long time! She looks large...how big is she?
She's just lovely!...Everytime I see your cat, I think of mine! I think I'm going to have to add a grown up picture of him alongside his baby picture! They could be twins!! Smiles, Paulette :o)
